Explanation Writing

Over the last few weeks team 17 have been learning about explanation writing. We wrote a couple of explanation stories of our own. My titles were How Rocket Shoes Work and How A Jet Pack Work. If your writing about how a scooter or how a skateboard works you might want to have these paragraphs: question/introduction, how/why it works, what are the parts, what makes it work, how you use it and the conclusion. Don't forget the title at the beginning. Remember that the first letter of every word in the title has to be capital. For example How Do Roller Blades Work.

Week 5 Reflection 1

On Friday wheels day is going to happen. Wheels day is a day when everyone brings something with wheels to school. Like skateboards, bikes, roller blades and those shoes with wheels in them. The middle syndicate are not allowed to bring bikes because there are too many of us. There are even too many juniors so they can't bring bikes either. Only the seniors are allowed to bring bikes because there are only a few of them. My sister Hannah and I are going to bring our roller blades. We were going to bring our bikes but we are not allowed. I'm sure wheels day will be lots of fun.

Marble Track

This week in science Linda and I made a marble track to show gravity. We used a cardboard box, part of a bottle and little cardboard strips. Our marble track is painted in 5 colours. Green, blue, white, purple and yellow with black duck tape around it. The marble does not just roll down the track, gravity pulls the marble down. Without gravity helping, the marble would just stay at the top of the track.

During the holidays I did some sewing with my Grandma. I made mini pillows, a tiny blanket and a little bag. In the second week of the holidays I stayed with my Nana for one night. Nana took us shopping. We went to west field shopping center, spotlight and toy world. After we stayed at Nana's my sisters Hannah and Dana and me went to stay at our cousins house. My cousin Antonio was mean to us the whole time.

My Goals for Term 4 : Finish my work on time, work hard on my reading so I can move up to the top group, do great blog posts so I can be blogger of the week.
